2016 was a year of great success and growth. We experienced technical evolution and shipped a large volume of client solutions. As 2017 approached my team got together to establish our technical vision for the upcoming year. We decided that this is the year for us to mature how we build applications, ratchet up our focus on quality and become more masterful with our new skills. In this blog series I will share our vision and objectives for the coming year and welcome your thoughts on where your firm is focused in 2017.
I started my journey here at Mercury as an intern, fulfilling a credit requirement towards my computer science degree. The stress and uncertainty associated with an internship is hardly an uncommon sentiment among students and those just starting out in the tech world or any profession for that matter. I would like to offer those that are in the humble beginnings of their computer science careers my positive account of growing from an intern to an application developer. The impact a technologically diverse, tenacious and structured company like Mercury can have on one’s progress is invaluable.
The lions-share of employees here at Mercury New Media are software developers, or are at heart anyway, and as such embrace our “inner geek” on a daily basis. We are all gamers of one type or another so the notion of game Achievements is second nature.
