The Tampa Bay Business Journal announced the rankings for the 2012 Fast 50 Awards.  Amongst the esteemed companies was the web consultancy Mercury New Media.

The 2012 Fast 50 Awards recognizes the 50 fastest growing, privately held companies in the Tampa Bay area and honors those companies that have seen continuous growth over the past three years.

In order to qualify for the award certain criteria had to be met.  First, the nominated company must be privately held and locally owned.  Also, the company must have been in operation since 2008 or before.  Furthermore, the nominated company had to meet annual revenue requirements and prove consecutive annual revenue growth from 2009 through 2011.

Mercury New Media surpassed all the criteria and landed firmly as the 40th fastest growing company in the Tampa Bay area.  The rankings were based on the percentage of annual growth over a three-year period.
