Join the Mercury New Media Team at Tampa Code Camp 2015

Mercury New Media thought leaders will be sharing their ideas at this year’s Tampa Code Camp on July 18, 2015. The annual event brings together the Tampa Bay’s best and brightest technology thinkers for the day to share solutions, ideas, insights and other cool things tech. We are particularly excited this year to have Tampa Mayor, Bob Buckhorn, presenting the keynote message.

Mercury New Media team member presentations include the following:

  • Developing Microsoft Office Add-ins with Danielle FergusonWith several of the announcements at Microsoft Build being centered around the ever-expanding Microsoft Office integration options, it is an interesting time to look into what options are available now. Danielle’s session will include a hands-on demo of creating a simple outlook add-in and a high-level discussion of the new features coming soon.
  • ASP.NET vNext in Visual Studio 2015 with Graham MorrisVisual Studio 2015 brings a lot of enhancements in the editor, and ships with ASP.NET v5. It comes with a total change in the solution and project structure of web applications. They have also made a lot of changes to the project templates to utilize a whole bag of popular open source technologies like NPM, Grunt and Bower. Join Graham for a first look.
  • On The Edge of Microsoft Edge: What to Expect with Microsoft’s Upcoming Windows 10 Browser with Zachary WinnieZach’s session will provide an overview of what designers and developers can expect from Microsoft Edge, the new browser that will be released alongside Windows 10 this summer. Zach will provide a high level look at new features, what’s been added for HTML/JavaScript/CSS support, and a hands-on demo showing off what Edge can do. Zach’s session will be geared toward interface designers and front-end developers, but all are welcome.

Donald Bickel, Partner, Mercury New Media shares, “Tampa Code Camp consistently provides an engaging and collaborative environment for the Tampa Bay development community to share innovative and interesting ideas. It’s been fantastic watching the annual event grow in scale and scope through the years. We are pleased to be part of the conversation and are proud of our team members’ ongoing contributions to the Tampa Bay development community.”

Code Camps exist nationally and allow local or regional development community leaders to come together to share ideas. The Tampa Code Camp is a community event where developers learn from fellow developers. Now in its ninth year, Tampa Code Camp has become the “must attend” event for Tampa Bay professional developers focused on the Microsoft Development Stack. This year’s presentations are divided into the following four topical areas of interest: Cloud, Device, Open Source and Miscellaneous.
